Here is a beautiful second letter to our dear brothers and sisters at the New York Times, about the life and teaching of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), and of His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us). Amen. The first letter was written a year ago, almost to the day, to Mr. Thomas L. Friedman, a Columnist for the NY Times after reading one of his articles, "Dinner With The Sayyids", about Iraq and several of the potential leaders in Iraq with whom he had dinner, that is, with Mr. Sayyid Iyad Jamaleddine and Mr. Sayyid Hussein Khomeini, who at that time were living in Iraq. World Book Article - on the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini Mr. Sayyid Hussein Khomeini, who was interviewed by Mr. Friedman during their dinner in Iraq, is the Grandson of the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini who as an Islamic religious leader, was the chief political figure of Iran from 1979 until his death on June 3, 1989. He came to power after his followers had overthrown Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the shah (king). The late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini made Iran an Islamic Republic and put Islamic laws into effect which impacted America in many ways. For example, an article from the "World Book Reference Center", which you can access through AOL by typing in the word, Khomeini, tells us: ---- beginning of World Book Article ---- That in October 1979, the shah who had fled from Iran was admitted to a hospital in the United States. In November, Iranian revolutionaries took over the United States Embassy in Tehran, Iran. They held as hostages a group of Americans, most of whom worked for the embassy. Khomeini supported the revolutionaries, who said they would hold the hostages until the shah was returned to Iran for trial. The shah died in July 1980. The hostages were released in January 1981. During Khomeini's rule, Iran fought a destructive war with neighboring Iraq over territorial disputes and other disagreements. After nearly eight years of fighting, the countries reached a cease-fire in 1988. Khomeini's original name was Ruhollah Moussavi. He was born in Khomein, a town south of Tehran, probably on May 17, 1900, and changed his last name to Khomeini. In the 1920's, Khomeini became a teacher of Islamic philosophy and law. Khomeini earned the title ayatollah, a Persian word meaning reflection (or sign) of Allah. This title is the highest that can be held by a member of the Shiite division of Islam. Khomeini became the chief figure among the Shiites in Iran in the early 1960's. In 1963, he was imprisoned for opposing the shah. Khomeini was exiled in 1964, but he continued to work for the overthrow of the shah. ---- end of World Book Article ---- Intervention In "Hostage Crisis" - by our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) During this same period the Spiritual Father of this child, whom this previous letter to Mr. Friedman, and now to you is really all about, our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), became publicly involved in the "Hostage Crisis", as it was called at the time, which was unusual for Him, as He tells us in the "Introduction" to the book, "The Truth and Unity of Man". ---- beginning of "Introduction" to book by His Holiness ---- "I do no normally speak about politics or concern myself with politics. My work is to serve God and to advise my children with wisdom, so that they can live in peace and unity. This is the duty God has placed upon me." "However, I find it necessary to write at this time, because today some parts of the world have forgotten God and are heading towards destruction ..." "My wisdom, my heart, and my conscience prompt me to write these letters. If there are any faults, please forgive me. Amen." "May God protect each one of us. Amen." ---- end of "Introduction" to book by His Holiness ---- In this book we have documented all of the letters that His Holiness wrote at that time to the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, urging him to release the hostages and to follow the life and teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (blessing and peace be upon Him) rather than his present course of action. In addition, at that time His Holiness wrote a letter to the then President of Egypt, President Anwar Sadat, urging him to seriously reflect on the situation in Iran, and to not go along with him, to "please not go on his path", and several letters to the Boston Newspapers, and to the American people, explaining the "true meaning of Islam", and rejecting what was coming out of the world of Islam at that time, all of which can be read in the book, "The Truth and Unity of Man". In addition, at that time, but not included in this book, His Holiness wrote a letter to the then President of America, President Jimmy Carter, urging restraint, and faith and trust in God to see us through this international crisis, rather than direct intervention to try and free the hostages, which he did not follow. Why Does An Apple Seed Germinate? - because it becomes aware that it is an apple seed, that it is buried within the earth, and that the earth contains everything necessary for the apple tree hidden within it to grow, because the earth becomes aware that the apple seed is now aware that it is an apple seed, that it is buried within the earth, and that the earth contains everything necessary for the apple tree hidden within it to grow, and because out of this mutual awareness, the earth surrenders to the apple seed, and the apple seed surrenders to the earth. This is why an apple seed germinates, through awareness of the truth that naturally emerges from within it, and surrender to that truth, as "truth surrendering to truth" 7-0. Who Is The True Messenger of God, And What Is The True Message? - the answer is simple, they all are, and they each brought the same message 8-0. The "Gospel of John" and The "Holy Qur'an" Are In Truth The Same - if we read them with wisdom, if we read them without "separation and differences", if we read them from within us, as being the "story of God within the story of True Man within us, and the story of True Man within the story of God within us", as being the "story of the Oneness of God and True Man" within us, rather than being just books on the "outside" of us that we can carry under our armpit, and that we can then either worship or burn 8-1. First Example - the Crucifixion, The Resurrection, and The Holy Trinity in the Gospel of John, when viewed through wisdom, are in truth the Suratal Nas, the Suratal Falaq, and the Suratal Icklas In The Holy Qur'an 8-2. Second Example - the Sign of The Cross, "In The Name of The Father, The Son, And the Holy Spirit. Amen", in the Christian tradition, and the Spiritual Greeting of "Alif, Lam, Mim", of "Ya Allah, Ya Rasul, Ya Muhaiyaddeen", of, "God, the Light of Wisdom, and Wisdom", in the Islamic tradition are in truth the same, when viewed through wisdom 8-3. Third Example - with the first line in the Holy Qur'an and the first line in the "Gospel of John" are in truth the same, when viewed through wisdom, with Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim being the praising of God, as the Creator, the Nourisher, and the Redeemer, and in the Gospel of John, with the "Word", being the Creation of God, and the "Word" being what was with God, as the "Word made Flesh", and the "Word" being God, as God having answered His own question in Anathi, in the time of darkness, the question, "Who am I?", as God having revealed God to God, for the benefit of all of His Creation 8-4. Fourth Example (Part A) - the Gospel of John teaches us, if viewed through wisdom, that we must first become John, which is the flower of Jesus, for Jesus to become our fragrance (peace be upon Them), and the life and teaching of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen and of His Children (may God be pleased with Them) teaches us in truth the same thing, that is, without Iman there is no Islam, that is, "to always shine with the beautiful light and form of Iman is Islam" 1) Quotation From: "The Gospel of John" - without John there is no Jesus 2) The Only Way To Win The Drama of Our Life - is not to play 3) How Do We Meet Jesus in Our Life? - by becoming "One with" Him within us, before we die 4) The True Significance of Life - of The Holy Trinity of God within us, of the Triple Flame of God within us, is first becoming "One with" John (peace be upon Him) within us, who is our "Spirit", our wisdom, and then becoming "One with" Jesus (peace be upon Him) within us, who is our "Light", our soul, and then becoming "One with" Muhammad (blessing and please be upon Him) within us, who is the "Light of our wisdom", the innermost heart, the kingdom of God within us, then letting these "Three" within us become "One" within us, in this way, revealing True Man within the Creation of God within us, as the "Oneness of God and His Creation" within us, and finally, within that revealing the "Oneness of God and True Man" within us, which in truth is God and True Man within us. Our True Birthright, Our True Heritage - is "God happening" within us, by first allowing "True Man to happen" within us, which starts with "King David happening" within us (peace be upon Him), as our Iman, as the faith of Abraham in the pit of fire within us (peace be upon Him), as our absolute faith, certitude, and determination in God within us, that in truth "Only God and what God is doing within us" exists within us, that in truth "God is One" within us, then "Jesus happening" within us, as the Light of God within us, as the "Word Made Flesh" within us, as the "Fragrance of John" within us, by first allowing "John to happen" within us, as the "Flower of Jesus" within us (peace be upon Them), coming to maturity with "Muhammad happening" within us, in this way, opening up the Kingdom of God within us, the 8th Heaven or firdaus of Muhammad (Sal.) within us, allowing Muhammad (Sal.) within us to ascend to God within us, as the Mi'raj of Muhammad (Sal.) within us, in this way, completing the "path of God" or the "Religion of God" within us, which True Man within us must then walk within us, in order to return as "One with God" within us, in order to reveal the "Oneness of God and True Man" within us, which in truth is God and True Man within us, which in truth is the "Truth of Us happening" within the "Truth of God happening" within us, which in truth is "The Truth surrendering to the Truth" within us, which in truth is exactly what an apple seed does when it germinates. Once Again - "And The Truth Will Set You Free" Almost one year ago to the day, on August 10th of 2003, we read an article by Mr. Thomas L. Friedman - Columnist for NY Times, "Dinner With the Sayyids", which was published in the on-line version of the New York Times on 8/9/03, and was moved in my heart to write Mr. Friedman, as well as the two brothers mentioned in his article, Mr. Sayyid Iyad Jamaleddine and Mr. Sayyid Hussein Khomeini, who at that time were living in Iraq. To write them about the life and teaching of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), and of His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us). Amen. . In the letter from this child to Mr. Friedman, from Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen (Louie Beutler), which is the name given to this child by His Holiness in 1980, we humbly tried to share the wonderful experience that this child was blessed by God to have over the last 28 years, from August of 1975, living at the feet of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him). An experience that would be of great benefit to the apparent work of Mr. Friedman, and to all of you at the NY Times, in helping the people in Iraq, and throughout the Middle East, as well as in the whole world, by realizing, understanding, accepting, and joining with an understanding of Hinduism, of Zoroastrianism, of Christianity, of Islam, and of Judaism, that truly brings them all together as One. In this way, allowing all of us now living in this world to "get on with it", to complete what God has repeatedly told all of us to do, over and over again, throughout the ages, that God personally told to all of the races, religions, and people of the world, and to stop fighting over which Messenger of God was the correct one, for they all were correct, all 124,000 Prophets of God, and there Message was always the same. 3. So Stop Working For Wages To Get Into Heaven - for if we don't, then when we die, we will be very disappointed The very same Message or "Word" that Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him) and His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us) now teach us, which includes everything that has ever came before from all the Prophets of God, coming now again in our very own age, but this time without any veils, so everyone would hear it, and everyone would understand it, and all that would be left is do we want it. Do we want a life of "Oneness with" God, or do we want to continue living our lives of selfishness on the "outside" of us, as "separate from" God, as "separate from" each other, and as "separate from" the Creation of God within us, until we die, and then get that same life of "separation and differences" for eternity. The choice is ours, not God's. For God has given each of us everything necessary to walk either path, either into Him within us, becoming eternally "One with" Him within us, before we die, or away from Him on the "outside" of us, becoming eternally "separate from" Him, after we die. So for 100 years, from 1886 to 1986, when His Holiness died on December 8th, 1986, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, His Holiness has been teaching this same Message, the Message of "Oneness with" God, of "Oneness with" each other, and of "Oneness with" the Creation of God within us, until He died, and was buried in the farmland surrounding Coatesville, Pennsylvania, about one hours ride from Philadelphia, leaving this divine work now up to us, to the Children of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Us). Leaving this divine work now up to us, to each of us, joined in partnership with God within us, joined in partnership in this age with Bawa within us, and with God within Him, which is the "True Shaikh-Disciple Relationship" within each of us, if we truly want it, if we are truly willing to become "One with" God within us, before we die, if we are truly willing to let our life of "separation and differences" on the "outside" of us end, to let it peacefully come to an end on the "outside" of us, before we die on the "outside" of us, a way of life which this child has been trying to live for the last 29 years. In this way, with us becoming the Children of God for our age, which is each of us living in the world today, if that be our true intention, to again become "One with" God within us, before we die. Amen. For as "Bawa" teaches us, which is the name that we all lovingly learned to use when addressing His Holiness, which means "Father", "Stop working for wages to get into heaven, for you will be very disappointed, and instead, join in partnership with God within you, to complete what God has started within you, a very, very long time ago, even before you were born into this earth world, which is to reveal God to God within you, for the benefit of all of the Creation of God within you. Amen." 4. And Once Again, One Year Later - we write to you, the friends, staff, co-workers, and management of the NY Times So again, almost one year later to the day, we are moved in our heart to write to you, to each of you, to all of the friends, staff, co-workers, and management of the New York Times, as we never heard back from Mr. Thomas L. Friedman, at least on the "outside", or from Mr. Sayyid Iyad Jamaleddine and Mr. Sayyid Hussein Khomeini, to whom we asked Mr. Friedman to send a copy of our letter, as we did not have their E-mail address in Iraq. And to those of you of the New York Times who we have seen, or read, or heard, or know your name, we humbly and respectfully say the following: 4-1. To: Ms. Maureen Dowd - Thank you for seeing the world through the "Looking Glass of Shakespeare" We saw you on C-Span with Brian Lamb the other day, and found your comments frank and expansive, using the tragedies of Shakespeare as your looking glass, giving us a much clearly way of seeing the politics of our day. Also, you reminded this child of my mother, Margaret Mary Curtin, whose mother, Bridgett Sweeney, and father John Curtin came from Ireland, from County Cork, and of my first true love as a young man, a Ms. Shaleen Katie. It was actually seeing and hearing you that day with Brian that seemed to start the process again within this child that led to this letter to all of you. Thank you very much, we have certainly learned a lot from the process of invoking the "Name of God" for our age, in this way, establishing the "Presence of God" within us, as Jesus (peace be upon Him) taught us to do in the following quote from "Chapter 01" of the "Gospel of John". In this way, joining with God within us, in what He is doing within us, and in this way, letting this letter be written and sent to you, for God's purpose, not mine, and in this way, becoming the witness of God within us, as John was a witness to Jesus (peace be upon them). 1) Quotation From: "The Gospel of John", Chapter 01 - without John there is no Jesus "There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him (through John) might believe (in the Light, believe in Jesus). He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lightest every man (and woman) that cometh into the world" (John: 1, verses 6 to 9). "He (God) was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own (to the ones He lightest), and His own received Him not" (John: 1, verses 10 &11). "But as many as received Him, to Them gave He power to become the Sons of God, even to Them that believe on His Name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh (of the desire of Creation), nor of the will of man (of the desire of man), but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth" (John: 1, verses 12 to 14). And my dearest loving sister, this has been the experience of this small child, and of hundreds of our brothers and sisters from 1971 up to today, August 12, 2004, an experience that we are again moved to share, an experience that has again happened in our age, with the coming again into our age of the "Light of God", the "Word of God made flesh", to the Children of God for our age, which in truth is all of living in this age, if we but truly want it. The choice is ours, as it always has been, to receive Him or not. And if we receive Him, we too will be given the "Power to become the Sons of God, even to Them that believe on His Name." And His name for this age is "Bawa", or "Bawa Muhaiyaddeen", or "Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen" (may God be pleased with Him).
